PHILOSOPHYI am dedicated to helping you and your family find balance so that you are supported in your health and healing. I place great emphasis on identifying potential underlying causes of illness by using forms of medicine (both natural and integrative) that address these causes and move you toward renewed health. Treatment plans are highly individualized, taking into account the whole of who you are, from your physical symptoms, to emotional and mental symptoms, to your home and work environments, to the satisfaction of your relationships, to your nutrition status, among other lifestyle factors.
Treatment plans created address you as a whole person and provide a blueprint for your path to vibrant and sustained health.
I’m passionate about treating complex chronic illness including, but not limited to, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, autoimmune disorders, etc. and the various mental health conditions that often coincide: depression, anxiety and insomnia. I also enjoy working with behavioral and mood issues in children, adolescents and adults. I am trained in the modalities of homeopathy, nutrition and dietary counseling, herbal medicine, mind/body medicine, and lifestyle coaching.
I continue to keep up-to-date in the latest advancements of naturopathic medicine and I live by the lifestyle suggestions and natural treatments that I recommend. EDUCATION AND TRAININGDr. Lan is a board-certified naturopathic physician. She maintains a private practice in Scottsdale, Arizona. She has taught pediatric clinical rotations at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine’s Hamilton School clinic, as well as a rotation in general family medicine, mental health and addiction support at the Changing Lives Center—a rehabilitation center established by the Phoenix Rescue Mission for women recovering from drug and alcohol abuse, homelessness, domestic violence and PTSD.
Dr. Lan has been an avid, lifelong student of science, biology, health, alternative and integrative medicines, nutrition and homeopathy. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in zoology with an emphasis in ecology from Colorado State University. After graduating college, she began working for an alternative health company where she was first introduced to homeopathy and inspired by the use of alternative medicine.
She then went on to work for a company that produced herbal tinctures and salves for pregnant and breastfeeding women and her passion for holistic medicine grew. Soon after, she attended the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona where she graduated with honors. She subsequently completed further training via preceptorship and mentorship in mental health and chronic illness.
