Dr. Magerus partners with her patients to form a cohesive treatment plan to address the root of illness and treat the underlying causes of disease.
Dr. Magerus graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise and Wellness from Arizona State University. During her undergraduate days she discovered naturopathic medicine and was so inspired by the philosophy that she knew that this would be her life’s work. This is the medicine of the future!Dr. Magerus received her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and completed a one-year general practice residency at the Southwest Naturopathic Medical Center with a focus in women’s health.
Dr. Magerus is an active member of the Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association and serves on their continuing education approval commitee. Dr. Magerus has also developed and published study materials with Wild Brilliance Press for the naturopathic licensing exams. She has a special interest in teaching and continues as adjunct faculty at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, teaching clinical skills, gynecology and advanced gynecological procedures lab.
Because of this interest in teaching, she mentors both naturopathic students and residents. In addition, Dr. Magerus was honored as one of Phoenix Magazine’s Top Doc’s for both 2013 and 2015. In her spare time, Dr. Magerus enjoys many outdoor activities such as gardening, camping and hiking as well as a passion for cooking.
