My integrative approach:After more than 15 years practicing allopathic or conventional medicine, I shifted to an integrative approach that combines my expertise in the conventional with Naturopathic and Functional Medicine. I am also an independent Life Coach. I do believe, and there are scientific evidence to support that a holistic approach i. e. that addresses the physical, emotional and mental needs of the individual has much to offer according to the current concept of health from the World Health Organization (WHO).
I enjoy providing to my patients an approach that integrates a variety of healing modalities. Academic background:I am graduated in medicine from the School of Medicine of Santa Casa de Misericordia de Vitoria (EMESCAM), and completed my accredited medical residency in Cardiovascular Surgery from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Minas Gerais (FCMMG), both in Brazil. Aiming to improve my leadership skills, I completed an executive Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) from Ohio University (OU-USA) and Fundacao Getulio Vargas (FGV-Brazil).
I’ve completed my Clinical Fellowship in Cardiac Surgery from the University of Toronto (UofT) and graduated in Naturopathic Medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). Professional focus: Cardiometabolic health, and longevityFor more than 15 years, during my work in conventional medicine, I worked in ambulatories, ER, OR, wards, and ICU either as an attending physician or physician coordinator.
My career provided me the opportunity to help people presenting great a variety of medical conditions. My focus is on cardiovascular health, hormones and metabolism health (diabetes, weight management, cholesterol, etc), men’s and women’s hormones health, and aging (focus, vitality, immune support).
