One of my favorite descriptions of health was written by Dr. Henry Lindlahr, known as one of the fathers of Naturopathic Medicine. He describes health as the normal and harmonious vibration of the elements and forces composing the human entity on the physical, mental, moral and spiritual planes of being, in conformity with the constructive principle of Nature applied to individual life. In brief, health is about creating a dynamic balance between our lives and the surrounding environment. In my family practice, I attempt to balance the wisdom of nature with modern science and bring a seamless integration of Naturopathic and East Asian Medicine. Both medical philosophies are dedicated to individualized medicine and have the ability to not only relieve symptoms, but also provide answers, by discovering the root cause of imbalances and promoting a high level of wellness. Christine comes from a background of elite athletics, having played basketball at both the collegiate level (University of Toronto) and the professional level. She was a member of the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic’s sports medicine shift where she treated acute/chronic musculoskeletal injuries and other pain syndromes (ie. osteoarthritis, low back pain, autoimmune conditions).
In her private practice, Christine treats those with sports-related or musculoskeletal concerns in addition to weight management, gastrointestinal conditions, and cardiovascular disease. Christine continues to work with individual athletes and teams and is available for sport-specific nutrition presentations. She is also co-founder of the website An Avocado A Day.

Dr. Carly King obtained her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine and also holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from McMaster University. She completed her internship at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic and the Sherbourne HIV Health Centre in Toronto, Ontario, while also volunteering her time with Natural Doctors International at a clinic in Nicaragua.
