During my time at NUNM (previously NCNM) and through residency, I had the incredible opportunity to intern with Dr. Steven Sandberg-Lewis, a well-known naturopathic physician with extensive experience in naturopathic gastroenterology. I also trained under the gracious guidance of Dr. Allison Siebecker in the understanding and treatment of SIBO. My naturopathic training has provided me with an extensive tool kit for approaching common health struggles through a unique lens.
I combine conventional diagnostics and treatment with botanical medicine, nutrient supplementation, body work, nutritional counseling, homeopathy, and lifestyle intervention. It is also a personal mission of mine to provide access to gender affirming care for transgender or gender neutralon-binary persons per WPATH standards. I work to develop care plans based on individual needs, which can include hormone prescriptions, androgen blocking, surgical referrals, or help with documentation, among other items.
I graduated from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM, previously NCNM) with a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine, and completed two years of post-graduate residency training in Primary Care and Naturopathic Gastroenterology. I currently practice primary care at West Seattle Natural Medinicine with a wonderful and skilled group of naturopathic doctors. I came to Naturopathic Medicine after a career in Environmental Planning, which I loved, but left me wanting a deeper sense of meaning and connection in my work.
Being a Naturopathic Doctor (ND) provides me with just that! I feel so grateful to have found a career that allows me to not only engage my intellectual curiosity, but also my love and care for others. I believe that we are here to heal each other (ok, I stole that from a yogi tea bag, but it’s true!), and it is my personal and professional goal to move towards presence, vitality, and a deeply embodied sense of peace.

I focus on preventative care in my practice relying on an individual’s complete medical history, family history, social history, mental health, genetics, known environmental exposures, diet and lifestyle to inform our work together. I take time to listen to my patients’ story in a non-judgmental way and provide them space to share what they have been going through. I work with my patients using an integrated Ayurvedic and Naturopathic approach to create a unique treatment plan for them.
My treatment recommendations are based on patient compliant. I educate them about the reason behind my recommendations. I encourage and motivate them to take care of themselves. My goals are to facilitate healing in my patients, help them achieve optimal health, and maintain wellness for a lifetime.
I was born and raised in India. I grew up running the halls of my father’s integrative medical practice and I was inspired by him to pursue medicine. I studied Ayurvedic medicine for 5. 5 years in India. During my final year in school, I assisted my father in his clinic, which helped increase my clinical skills. After the completion of my education, I worked as an OB/GYN resident in a hospital in India and gained hands on experience in midwifery and women’s health.
I moved to United States in 2006 and decided to continue my clinical education by pursuing 4 year ND degree through Bastyr University. I draw out from modalities such as Ayurvedic medicine, Botanical medicine, Physical medicine, Homeopathy, Nutrition, and Hydrotherapy in my practice. I developed special interest in Pediatrics after the birth of my daughter. She has taught me to be a better doctor and still teaching me every day about childhood development.
Outside of work I enjoy cooking healthy meals for my family, listening to music, dancing, exploring the city with friends, and teaching my daughter to enjoy nature.

Combining more than a decade of experience in emergency medicine as a Boston paramedic with the tools and knowledge of Naturopathic Medicine, Dr. Enos excels in primary care, cardiovascular medicine, physical medicine, biofeedback, men’s health, and environmental medicine. Dr. Seth Enos ND began his life in medicine in 2004 as a volunteer on a university based ambulance corps. After completing his undergrad degree he found employment as an EMT with American Medical Response (AMR).
Working for AMR afforded him the opportunity to train and become licensed as a paramedic. During his time at AMR Dr. Enos joined the Disaster Response Team (DRT) and was deployed for hurricanes Ike and Gustave in conjunction with a larger disaster response organized by FEMA. Through his work as a paramedic, Dr. Enos decided that he could do better service to his patients through preventative naturopathic medicine, keeping them from requiring an ER when possible rather than picking up the pieces afterwards.
Dr. Enos subsequently attended Bastyr University, in Kenmore, Washington where he completed their graduate level training in naturopathic medicine. Dr. Enos now practices primary care naturopathic medicine with a focus on cardiology, urology, men’s health, biofeedback, and physical medicine.

I believe in a collaborative approach with my patients. I will evaluate your needs based on your history and your goals in health and wellness. Together, we will decide on a diagnostic and treatment approach. I am trained as a naturopathic and functional medicine physician. The roots of both of these systems stem from looking at the root cause of disease to achieve health. I also believe in using the best available evidence we have to make decisions about care.
It is important to me that my patients understand the WHY behind WHAT we are doing and comparing that to the known data available. I believe in partnerships with other physicians and specialists in care. I believe the care team is best assembled when doctors can work together to help the patient achieve their personal health goals.
Dr. Michael Rak, ND
6869 Woodlawn Ave Ne
Seattle, Washington, 98115
Phone: (206) 535-8867
Dr. Rak’s care philosophy is to find and treat the most foundational aspect of the disease present. At times this will be a nutritional deficiency, at other times it may be a chronic viral infection. He works hard to find the underlying cause of the pathology and understands how to shift people that aren’t able to find relief elsewhere. He has a lot of experience working with people that are sensitive to various interventions.
Throughout his life, Dr. Rak has been interested in science and medicine. After growing up in Western Michigan, he attended Michigan State University, graduating from an honors college for students of science with a curriculum heavy in human biology. During this time he did extensive research chemistry and worked through two internships with Pfizer, learning the science of pharmaceuticals. These experiences laid the groundwork for his future medical philosophy.
Upon graduation, he moved to Seattle to study renewable energy at the University of Washington. After receiving his Master’s Degree, he enrolled at Bastyr University to begin his medical education. His training has focused on the function of the neurological system and how this system is affected by toxicity. Additionally, he has cultivated a strong practice of physical medicine that spans a spectrum from the subtleties of craniosacral technique and visceral manipulation to higher force interventions like osseous manipulation and trigger point therapy.
His practice focuses on finding the therapeutic that best fits the patient, while his knowledge of biochemistry allows him to identify synergistic nutrients that could be crucial to therapeutic success. He believes that a genetic profile helps him to maximize efficacy and minimize side effects of treatment options by understanding an individual’s metabolic susceptibilities. In his office, you will find a safe space where you can be free to explore your life and a pathway to robust health.
Dr. Rak is a scientist, a scholar, and a healer. He has done research-spanning from chemistry to molecular biology, at some of the finest institutions. His medical training began at Bastyr University, but continues through countless seminars and conferences. His passion is the interplay between the mind and the body through the function of the nervous system. This study yields techniques ranging from intricate genetic analysis and injection therapies to subtle manipulation techniques.
He loves a challenge.

I maintain a family practice and practice primary care within the tenets of naturopathic medicine. I like to treat the whole patient and not just symptoms presented, and I do believe that the doctor should be an effective teacher. I also provide complementary medicine and specialize in Ayurvedic medicine and Craniosacral therapy.
I have been practicing Naturopathic Medicine since my graduation from Bastyr University in 1998. I specialize in Ayurvedic medicine and am a Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner. I also have background in different modalities of physical medicine– I am a certified Bowenwork practitioner and have practiced Craniosacral therapy since 2000. These professional endeavors reflect my belief that in order to achieve health one must be fit in mind, body, and spirit.
I maintain a family practice and practice primary care within the tenets of naturopathic medicine. Most illnesses respond well to a holistic approach that includes botanicals or homeopathies as well as diet and lifestyle modifications. In addition to naturopathic medicine, I utilize conventional methods in my practice, such as blood tests and annual gynecological exams, as well as naturopathic and Ayurvedic medicine.
These comprehensive services have been very successful in treating a wide variety of illnesses, from chronic conditions (such as digestion problems, headaches or chronic fatigue syndrome) to acute illness (like a cold or flu) to basic preventative care.

I believe strongly in a holistic approach to medicine; integrating nutritional and lifestyle counseling, supplemental and herbal medicine to provide individualized patient centered care. Each individualized treatment session will involve a form of physical medicine along with a customized treatment plan that may include botanical medicine or supplements. Patient education is the backbone of my practice; I enjoy not only teaching my patients about their bodies, and how they function, but also how simple lifestyle changes can result in lasting treatment or prevention of disease.
I believe in building a relationship with my patients to understand where they are coming from. My goal is to address areas of your life the may be affecting your pain.
My passion for spending time in nature began early in life. Eventually this passion morphed into a love for physical activity of all kinds and an appreciation for the physical body and all it’s functions. I spent my undergraduate career as a student athlete participating as a division I rower while pursuing a degree in health and human performance. Eventually I evolved into a backpacking guide for many years before realizing that I wanted to pursue my understanding of the role physical activity, lifestyle, and nutrition can play in disease processes.
This aspiration to expand my knowledge of the body and its functions ultimately fueled my desire to learn even more about the root cause of disease process and prevention, and ultimately to pursue naturopathic medicine. Because of my personal history of physical activity I have a unique understanding and experience with physical pain and the devastation that it can cause in our lives. I have a specific desire to help patients who are suffering from physical pain regain control of their lives and move forward into a pain free existence.
