Medicine should be healing oriented and take into account the whole person (body, mind and spirit) as well as all aspects of lifestyle. We need to refocus medicine on health and healing rather than disease and treatment.

As a Naturopathic Doctor, I believe in empowering people to make life enhancing choices. Naturopathic medicine is an art, science, philosophy and practice of diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of illness. I seek to restore and maintain optimum health by emphasizing nature’s inherent self-healing process. This is accomplished through education and the rational use of natural therapeutics, specific treatments as well as medicines when necessary.
I utilize Food Intolerance Evaluation as a means to determine which foods work in your body and which are best to avoid. Removing Food Intolerances has helped many people restore their health.

Dr. Priya Walia’s journey to becoming a Naturopathic and Ayurvedic Physician was propelled both by her innate desire to practice medicine from a young age and a life changing illness that quickly instilled in her the undeniable need to heal fully. Coming from an East Asian background and being taught about Mother Nature’s wisdom to heal thyself, she explored where she could best learn healing to employ not only for herself but for others.
She recognized health as being inherent, and that appropriate guidance is necessary at times. She completed her undergraduate studies in Human Biology and Health Psychology from Bastyr University where she further understood the mind-body-spirit connection. Her thirst for holistic healing and health promotion led her to naturopathy, where she attained her accredited doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University.
She further followed her passion for connecting to her roots in East Asian Medicine, Ayurveda, and pursued an accredited Master’s in Ayurvedic Sciences, also at Bastyr University, becoming a graduate of the very first inaugural class. Through this, she extensively studied in India while then completed a CNME approved residency position that allowed her to enhance her knowledge and practical skill set within Naturopathic Medicine and Ayurveda.
Since then, she has gained extensive training in regenerative techniques (trigger point, perineurial injections, platelet rich plasma- PRP) and aesthetic procedures including micro-needling and PRP. She combines the 5,000 year old wisdom of Ayurveda, Naturopathic Medicine, and other physical medicine modalities such as yoga, meditation, and breathing techniques, IV and injection therapies, craniosacral therapy, kinesiotaping, and regenerative therapies to help her patients attain and maintain the health that they are rightfully due.
Areas of focus include both optimizing the healthy and working with chronic disease, such as: adjunctive oncology support, autoimmune conditions, digestive concerns, endocrinology, women’s health, reproductive health, cardiovascular disease and diabetes, and dermatology and aesthetics. When not seeing patients, Dr. Walia can be found nerding out on science advancements, exploring greenery stemming from her love of nature and home state of Washington, reading, writing, playing her violin, watching movies, spending time with her family and friends, and traveling.

I combine spiritual and intuitive guidance, energy medicine, craniosacral therapy, and counseling with bodywork.
Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine, Bastyr University, 2003 Bachelors of Science, Boston University, 1989. Although I focus primarily on spiritual and energetic medicine, having a medical degree helps me understand the body, disease and wellness on a deep level. Mentorships and advanced classes. Three-year mentorship with shamanic healer, Char Sundust. My intuitive skills grew greatly during this time and it allowed me to bring a spiritual component into my work.
Advanced study in craniosacral therapy with Nancy Soliven, DC, MD. Advanced brain-craniosacral class with Ursula Popp. Lymphatic drainage with Beverly Cook, LMT through Upledger Institute. Visceral manipulation with Dan Bensky, DO. One-year advanced study in Constitutional Homeopathy with Lou Klein, FSHom. One-year mentorship with Marie Manuchehri, RN, energy-intuitive. Workshops and study with John Douglas, CMA International Foundation.
Three-year mutual-awakening spiritual practice with Patricia Albere.

A combination of unhealthy lifestyle habits, including lack of exercise, toxic exposure and foods result in a form of malnutrition which is responsible for most of the common conditions of modern man. These health conditions are related, and include high blood pressure, obesity, high cholesterol, fatigue, depression, brain fatigue, pain, loss of sexual drive and function, and poor immunity. Since these conditions are related, it is easier to address the underlying causes of all these conditions, than treat a large number of symptoms.
