It was the fascination and beauty of our natural world that originally drew Dr. Colleen to naturopathic medicine. Now, as a doctor she strives to harness that natural healing power to create individualized and holistic treatments for her patients. Dr. Colleen’s calling to become a natural healer started at a young age and continued to blossom throughout her life. Understanding the magical healing powers of nature became more prevalent as she grew and spent time exploring the great outdoors on many adventurous journeys.

She received a major in Biology with a minor in chemistry at OSU and continued on to get a Doctorate of Naturopathic medicine at NCNM. After graduating she completed a 2 year certified post-doctoral residency training with A Family Healing Center. Today she happily practice family medicine at Troutdale Naturopathic Medicine. When she is not tending to her patients, she is a mother, an avid hiker, a pilot, an aerial artist and gardener.

I use an integrated inclusive approach in patient care. This means that I listen, take time to study the problems in its totality and create a thorough understanding of the situation. This means that we use lab testing and imaging to help understand what the conventional medical diagnosis is but also determine functional & physiological diagnoses. Treatments relieve symptoms, but more importantly, we pursue restoration of health and auto-regulation/homeostasis in a very deliberate and focused manner.

By giving the body what it needs (nutrients, hormones, vitamins, medicines) and by removing body burden, or obstacles to self regulation (infections, toxic metals and chemicals, parasites, immune dysfunction, insomnia etc. ) the body is able to self regulated much better and either heals or need from zero to a lot less symptomatic management. In addition, I use bioregulatory techniques and medicines to support the body in attaining a stable healthy state requiring little or no meds.

I’m a board-certified Naturopathic Physician specializing in acute and chronic pain resolution with natural therapies. Dr. Oltman treats patients with the underlying presumption that the body contains the wisdom to heal itself. Dr. Samuel Oltman, an Oregon native and all-state athlete in football and track, graduated with a Bachelors of Science from Oregon State University in Exercise and Sport Science where he also played wide receiver for the Beavers football team. He attended the National College of Natural Medicine, graduating with his Naturopathic Doctorate (ND), and then completed a rigorous 2-year primary care residency at Grain Integrative Health in Southeast Portland.

He has advanced training in pain management, orthopedics, and regenerative injection therapies. At Oregon Regenerative Medicine Dr. Oltman brings his unique experience and expertise to serve patients’ needs in regenerative medicine and primary care. Dr. Ahnemann became a naturopath because she believes we all deserve health and wellness. Her own path to becoming a doctor has been varied, allowing her to bring many diverse experiences and interests together to inform her practice. Her goal is to support and to empower every patient on their individual path. She will often turn to natural medicine first, but is comfortable prescribing a wide array of treatment options, tailoring each to a patient’s condition and needs.

Additionally she believes knowledge is essential, so she strives to educate her patients as they work together.

Dr. Ahnemann graduated from the National University of Natural Medicine in 2016. While there she completed several specialized rotations in women’s health, pediatrics, cardiovascular health, endocrinology, LGBTQ healthcare, and family medicine. She elected to travel abroad on breaks in order to work at rural community health clinics in Tanzania and Haiti. After graduating she completed a vigorous residency focusing on GI health, autoimmune disease and chronic illness.

In addition she has received further training in nutrition, botanical medicine and homeopathy. She enjoys family medicine and having an opportunity to work with every one of all ages. Before becoming a physician, Dr. Ahnemann spent years working as a cook and caterer, and her passion for food and nutrition remains strong. She spends a week each summer managing a camp kitchen for kids with food allergies.

In her free time she can be found cooking up a storm, getting her hands dirty in the garden, playing board games and unwinding with her cats and partner.
