Dr. Abby Egginton is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor practicing in Middlesex County, with additional offices in Westchester and Fairfield counties. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Women’s Studies at Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts where she was on the varsity crew team. She earned her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington, known for its science based approach to natural medicine.
She then completed a rigorous 16-month residency in Naturopathic Oncology at Indiana University Cancer Center in Goshen, IN. She has also completed advanced training in women’s health, homeopathy, and craniosacral therapy and has been trained as a birth doula. Most recently, Dr. Egginton has completed an AS in nursing at Westchester Community College. In addition to seeing patients, Dr. Egginton teaches Anatomy and Physiology to nursing students at the College of New Rochelle.
As a natural educator, Dr. Egginton is able to embody the naturopathic principle of Docere by teaching her patients about the physiological causes of symptoms and the mechanisms of treatment options. Trained as a primary care provider, Dr. Egginton is enthusiastic about offering general naturopathic family care. Dr. Egginton specializes in Oncology, Women’s Health, Pediatrics, and Genomic Medicine.
Naturopathic medicine works to understand the underlying cause of symptoms and disease and Dr. Egginton partners with her patients to find personalized health solutions for lasting wellness. Knowing the importance of prevention, she also works with patients to support innate healing and detoxification to decrease the risk of future disease. When the bill for licensing NDs passed in Mass, Dr. Abby was eager to bring naturopathic medicine to the Boston area to support local families in their journey towards optimum health!.
