Dr. Stevens seeks to determine the root cause of her patient’s condition not simply treat their symptoms, She takes the time to listen to hear patient’s concerns, needs and often times fears. She respects their unique biochemical individuality when developing a personalized treatment plan. And, she strives to educate and empower all her patients to become active participants in their healthcare.
Dr. June Steven’s ND grew up on a farm in Maine and has always had a love for plants and a deep appreciation for being out in nature. Her healthcare career path began in the United States Navy working as a registered nurse followed by pursing her true passion – Naturopathic Medicine. She received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ and completed her residency program in Scottsdale AZ.
She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Southern Maine, a Master’s Degree in Nutritional Biochemistry from the University of South Florida, College of Medicine as well as, an Advanced Fellowship in Anti-Aging and Functional Medicine. Dr. Stevens was the founder and Medical Director of the Naturopathic Heart Institute of Tucson until December 2015, at which time she moved her practice to Northern California in order to be closer to family.
In January of 2016, Dr. Stevens opened her new private practice, NOR CAL Natural Medicine, here in Redding CA. where her emphasis is in women’s health and cardiology. Recognized as a subject matter expert in naturopathic, integrative and functional medicine approaches to health, Dr. Stevens seeks to determine the root cause of her patient’s condition, respects their unique biochemical individuality when developing a personalized treatment plan and strives to educate and empower her patients to become active participants in their healthcare.
