During Dr. Nelson’s clinical education he had a passion for helping his patients out of pain to live their best lives. He consistently uses hands-on or physical medicine, something he focused on during his clinical rotations. His clinical training has provided countless hours of experience with patients from newborns to the elderly for a variety of conditions. In addition to direct patient care, Dr.
Nelson spends his time as an advocate for access quality healthcare for all people.
Dr. Giovanni A. Nelson is a licensed naturopathic physician in the state of Connecticut and Co-Founder of Healing Duo Integrative Family Medical Practice LLC. He completed his Bachelors of Science in Biology, with a concentration of Developmental Genetics, at Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, NY. Dr. Nelson completed his medical training at the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine in Bridgeport, CT where he was inducted into The Honors Society of Phi Kappa Phi and graduated with the highest honor of Summa Cum Laude.
Before attending medical school, he worked at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NY where he supported patients and their family members during radiation therapy.
