Dr. Decker graduated from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in 2015. Prior to attending naturopathic medical school, she obtained an Associate degree of Science (Biology) from Camosun College in Victoria and completed her Bachelor of Science in 2005 at the University of British Columbia, specializing in Microbiology and Immunology. She continued her education at UBC and in 2011 completed a Master of Science in Medical Genetics.
During the course of the research into a premature aging disease, Dr. Decker realized that while basic medical research is important, her primary passion was actually working with patients. Naturopathic medicine has allowed her love of learning to be combined with her passion for patient care. Dr. Decker’s areas of interest are autoimmune disease, chronic pain management/rehabilitation and infectious disease, although all patients are welcome!.
