Dr. Colbran established Beechwood Naturopathy in Ottawa in 2018 with the mission of bringing high quality, honest and accessible naturopathic care to her community. Beechwood CAN is her initiative to bring this vision to life. She is proud to bring her skills to her family’s home community of Buchans, Newfoundland, where she can raise her baby surrounded by the healing power of nature. Her 10 years of post secondary education include an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences, a graduate certificate in Population Health Risk Science and a doctorate in Naturopathy.
An additional project: she is very excited to offer virtual Women’s Mental Health Care to residents of Ontario and Newfoundland, as she strives to increase quality of care and health outcomes for women experiencing anxiety, depression and burnout. Her vast clinical experience has ranged from interning at Toronto’s first walk in Naturopathic Clinic, Anishnawbe Health Centre, and a home based Naturopathic Clinic.
She has completed additional training in pharmaceutical prescriptions to further increase her scope of care, and she is very comfortable operating a general Naturopathic Practice. She participates in ongoing Continuing Education, most specifically in Women’s Health, and mental health. Her personal experiences havebeen enriched by family, global travel, competitive running and teaching yoga. Endlessly fascinated by the power of the human body, Colbran loves to challenge herself physically and mentally.
Her current challenge Prepping her freezer with hand picked fruits and berries and Market Veggies for the winter. She often recommends whole, local foods diet as a part of her treatment plan, and she hopes to help make local produce a more accessible reality in the future for Buchans.
