I feel strongly about treating the cause of illness, not just managing symptoms. I believe that building a therapeutic relationship with my patients is essential as trust is paramount between doctor and patient. Being a Naturopathic physician means that I use a blend of complementary medicines within the standards of care. The modalities of care that I utilize are lifestyle modifications, herbal medicine, hydrotherapy, nutritional supplements, stress reduction techniques, and pharmaceuticals as necessary.

Dr. Erin Cheatum is a licensed Naturopathic doctor who graduated from Bastyr University. Dr. Cheatum is a primary care physician with special interest in women’s health. During her training at Bastyr she received extra training in women’s health, sleep medicine, fertility, and pediatrics. Prior to attending Bastyr, she completed a BS in Biological Anthropology at Western Washington University. After medical school she completed a residency at Alpine Integrated Medicine in Redmond, WA.

Her residency gave her additional clinical experience and training working in an integrative primary care setting. Upon completing her residency she co-founded Madrona Natural Medicine.

My interest in Naturopathic medicine began after learning about the core principles of this medicine. Throughout my training and clinical practice I have worked to incorporate these core principles into each interaction with my patients. Prevention, treating the root cause, treating the whole person, individualized patient care, and educating my patients on their health are integral parts of my primary care practice.

I enjoy working with each patient to establish a healthy foundation and determine what areas of their life are both negatively and positively impacting their overall health so that each individual can reach their own optimal health.

Dr. Jessica Doizé is a graduate of Bastyr University and a licensed Naturopathic Physician in the state of Washington. Dr. Doizé is a primary care physician, with special interests in women’s health and digestive concerns. While attending Bastyr University, Dr. Doizé worked on multiple women’s health speciality shifts and received additional training in fertility, gynecological issues, and hormone replacement treatment.

Since her time at Bastyr University, Dr. Doize began her clinical practice as an independent contractor and left to pursue starting her own practice here at Madrona Natural Medicine. Prior to attending Bastyr University, Dr. Doizé received her B. S. in Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology.
