Dr. Morrell practices naturopathic family medicine blending safe and effective traditional therapies with modern scientific knowledge. Her approach encompasses all aspects of family health, focusing on whole-patient wellness and recognizing that an individual’s symptoms serve as guides to finding the underlying cause of illness. As a naturopathic doctor, Dr. Morrell acknowledges the wisdom of the human body and the natural world and utilizes natural therapeutic methods to encourage optimal health in the individual, family, and community.
The ultimate goal of naturopathic medicine is the preservation of health through preventative measures. In circumstances that warrant conventional medical treatment and therapies, Dr. Morrell has the ability to prescribe pharmaceuticals in conjunction with natural therapies and can make referrals.
Dr. Morrell is seeing patients in person in her new office in Cumberland Foreside, Maine located at the Integrative Health Center of Maine. She is also seeing patients via telemedicine for folks residing in Maine and Vermont. Dr. Morrell is originally from Maine and completed her undergraduate education at Wesleyan University, with a BA in Neuroscience & Behavior. She received her degree in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington.
She is interested in integrative general practice and her specialties include chronic disease, women’s health, gastrointestinal health, emotional wellness and physical medicine. She uses various physical medicine modalities to treat sports and life injuries. She endeavors to get at the root cause of physical, mental and emotional illness. She is proficient in Spanish and has spent time abroad at clinics in Nicaragua and Guatemala.
In her free time, she can usually be found in the mountains. She loves skiing, biking and hiking. She also enjoys creative time including yoga, painting and making jewelry.
