Dr. Melissa Bedford provides care that is collaborative, evidence-based, and free from judgement. She emphatically believes that healing does not require perfect habits or perfect circumstances. She approaches each case with curiosity and compassion, and strives to uncover the why behind how her patients are feeling. Dr. Bedford has a general naturopathic practice in which she welcomes patients of all ages with diverse health concerns.
Her two main areas of clinical focus are menstrual health and cardiovascular health. She is passionate about helping patients have struggle-free periods. She treats painful periods, heavy periods, irregular periods, and spotting, and supports patients through the transitions of peri-menopause and menopause where they experience changes in and eventual loss of their period. She also supports patients with cardiovascular disease prevention, medication management, and blood pressure and blood sugar management.
Dr. Bedford is a member in good standing with the Canadian College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia (CNPBC), the British Columbia Naturopathic Association (BCNA), and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND). She holds certifications in acupuncture, intravenous therapy, and prescriptive authority.
