My undergraduate training was at the UofA in biological sciences, with a focus on genetics and microbiology. I’m a science geek from way back and I make a point of staying up on the latest in medical science and alternative medicine.
My treatment philosophy is to lay the groundwork with sound medical science and to treat the cause where possible… and to always consider the psycho-social / emotional / spiritual health of individuals (and communities.) which have a profound impact on physical health. The body/mind/spirit is inextricable.
I also believe that my job as a physician includes educating my patients about their health so they can make healthy, informed choices.
